Finca Altamira in itself represents the history of our winery. It all started there. The revelation of this vineyard back in 1998, seen through the eyes of Roberto Cipresso has become the basis of our essence and overall philosophy. That’s the grape that would be transformed into those few first bottles, Finca Altamira 1999 which was Achaval-Ferrer`s debut wine and the first and only Latin American wine to receive 5 Decanter stars. The story behind those vines, their natural evolution and ability to express and to exhibit a sense of belonging has forever sealed the fate of our production philosophy.
Our label has become an icon that represents us all around the world and that expresses through Malbec the amazing lands of La Consulta. To commemorate it we decided to create a 15th Vintage Limited Edition label that celebrates that original revelation of the nature that was found at the foothills of that mountain and the Tunuyan river.
